Viet-Americans plan fundraiser in Silicon Valley
Vietnamese-Americans in Silicon Valley will host a fundraising event at the San Jose Athletic Club, 196 N. Third St. in San Jose, on Friday starting at 7 p.m. with an American Red Cross presentation followed by an entertainment program.

Musical tribute to New Orleans
Poor House Bistro will hold ``Tribute to New Orleans Music'' fundraiser on Saturday. The Gators will play from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., and Sid Morris and the PHB All-Stars will play from 6 to 10 p.m. All proceeds and donations will go the New Orleans Red Cross. 91 S. Autumn St. near West San Fernando Street in San Jose. For information, call (408) 292-5837.

Stores to match up to $1 million
Whole Foods Market will hold a Community Support Day on Sept. 14, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. at two locations -- 1010 Park Place in San Mateo and 1250 Jefferson Ave. in Redwood City. Whole Foods will donate 5 percent of the day's total sales to help communities devastated by Hurricane Katrina.

Donate by eating
Palo Alto restaurant Nola will donate 20 percent of sales today to the American Red Cross. On Friday, a New Orleans style celebration will be held at the City Center Plaza on Middlefield Road in Redwood City front of A Tavola with live music, drinks, food and an auction. Give at festival
The Mountain View Chamber of Commerce will be helping raise money for the American Red Cross at the 34th Annual Mountain View Art & Wine Festival this weekend.

The festival runs from 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, on Castro Street between El Camino Real and Evelyn Avenue.

Festivalgoers will also be able to make donations directly to the Red Cross at its booth.

Benefit concert
The Studio Theatre of California, with the Fun Times Singers, presents a benefit concert. Sept. 17 at 8 p.m., at St. Lucy's Church, 2350 Winchester Blvd., Campbell. There is a suggested donation of $5. All proceeds will be donated to the American Red Cross hurricane relief effort.

My wonderful, awesome, and sexxy boyfriend will be there volunteering at the first aid station for the red cross!
